Job summary

Paladar, a creative Latin American restaurant in Greater London, is seeking a Restaurant Supervisor to ensure smooth service across shifts. You will manage your section, greet guests, and coordinate with reservations to meet guest needs.

The role requires previous supervisor or senior FOH experience, excellent customer service and English fluency, with flexible availability Tuesday to Sunday. Salary £15.5–£17 hourly.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, greet and seat guests.
• Manage own section and ensure excellent service.

• Liaise with reservations team on bookings and guest requests.
• Manage restaurant flow and turn tables efficiently.
• Open and close the restaurant.
• Complete opening/closing checks.
• Handle guest queries professionally.
• Support management with day‑to‑day operations.

The role

As Supervisor, you’ll play an important role in making sure the restaurant runs smoothly throughout the shift. Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming, greeting and seating guests.
• Managing your own section and ensuring excellent service.
• Supporting and guiding the front-of-house team during service.
• Liaising closely with our reservations team regarding bookings, tables and guest requests.
• Managing the flow of the restaurant and making sure tables are turned efficiently.
• Opening and closing the restaurant.
• Completing opening and closing checks and ensuring the restaurant is ready for service.
• Dealing confidently with guest queries and resolving any issues professionally.
• Supporting the management team with the day-to-day running of the restaurant.

We’re looking for someone who

• Has previous experience in a restaurant supervisor or senior FOH role.
• Is confident leading a team during busy services.
• Has excellent customer service and communication skills, fluent in English, and preferably also Spanish and/or Brazilian Portuguese.
• Is organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Has a good eye for detail and takes pride in the restaurant.
• Can stay calm and positive when things get busy.
• Is flexible and happy to get stuck in wherever needed
