About the Role

This role is for a supervising social worker supporting and supervising foster carers. Responsibilities include assessing potential carers and providing post-approval support. You will join an experienced and stable team.

• Qualified Social Worker with current HCPC registration and recent experience in children’s services.
• Knowledge of legislation, policies, and procedures related to fostering and safeguarding.
• Support foster parents to achieve excellent outcomes for children and young people.
• Monitor and support foster carers to ensure they provide a safe, nurturing environment.
• Ensure carers understand their roles, responsibilities, and standards, including handling complaints.
• Provide regular supervision to foster carers as per policies.
• Ensure all documentation is complete and compliant.
• Participate in an 'out of hours' support rota.
• Occasionally undertake Form F Assessments.
• Attend panel meetings as required.

• Social work qualification
• Experience in children and families services
• DBS enhanced check for regulated activity
• Participation in on-call rota
