Job summary

Protocol Education are recruiting a SEN Teacher to join a specialist setting in Sunderland on a full-time basis. You will create an engaging classroom environment and plan lessons tailored to learners with SEND, ensuring safety and inclusion while working with colleagues and families.

The role requires QTS or equivalent qualification, patience, adaptability and strong teamwork to support EHCP outcomes and pupil progress in a dynamic school setting.

Qualifications

• QTS or an appropriate teaching qualification is required.
• Experience of teaching SEND and working in a specialist setting is desirable.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to individual learners and EHCP goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for students in a SEND setting.
• Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs and abilities.
• Support pupils with a range of SEND and monitor progress against targets.
• Record pupil progress and contribute to developing personalised learning opportunities.
• Work with Teaching Assistants and other staff to create a structured, inclusive classroom.
