Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd offers a year-long Industrial Placement for a Test Software Engineer, enabling hands-on work on real projects from day one. You’ll gain experience across the software design lifecycle, collaborate with Hardware and Firmware engineers, and contribute to test solutions and automated testing while receiving mentoring and career development support.

Successful completion may lead to the Graduate Development Programme; expect to spend at least three days per week on site to maximise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Integrated Master’s degree or higher (MSc/PhD) in a relevant field.
• Disciplines include Security, Computer Communication and Networks, Computer & Network Technology & Cyber Security.
• Competencies include self-motivation, strong communication, teamwork and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Develop software for test solutions across a varied product portfolio.
• Explore the software development lifecycle from requirements through to delivery.
• Build real development and production test solutions for internal and external customers.
• Enhance technical capability through on‑the‑job learning and formal training.
