Job summary

The Adecco Group UK & Ireland is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Costume Store in Greater London. This temporary role runs for three weeks during the summer turnaround, with 40 hours per week from 09:00 to 17:30, paid weekly via PAYE.

The position focuses on practical, hands-on maintenance to ready spaces for new residents and summer guests. You should have hands-on maintenance experience, a practical approach, and the ability to work well in a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in residential maintenance, facilities, property maintenance or a trade such as plumbing or carpentry.
• Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail.
• Positive attitude and strong team-working skills.
• Flexible and proactive, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Good communication skills and a professional manner.
• Trade qualifications are advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance and repair work across the site.
• Assist with room refreshes and preparation for new residents.
• Support move-in activities, including occasional heavy lifting.
• Complete basic plumbing, painting and decorating tasks.
• Undertake paint work, mastic work and replacements.
• Perform routine safety checks and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the Maintenance Technician team and wider site staff.
• Help deliver a positive experience for residents and guests.
