Job summary

Kier Group is offering a Summer Placement Civil Engineer in Falmer, East Sussex. This eight‑week placement provides hands-on experience in the Water team under Kier Infrastructure, with supervision and mentorship from experienced engineers.

You will assist in planning, design and management of projects, gain exposure to on-site activities, and contribute to reporting and documentation throughout the placement period.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering or related field and returning to university after placement.
• Must hold a full UK driving license.
• Interest in civil engineering and construction industry with motivation to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, execution, and management of projects relevant to your field.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to support project objectives.
• Conduct research and analysis to inform project decisions and strategies.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation related to project activities.
