Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is offering a hardware engineering internship in Cambridge, UK. You will work onsite full-time with the hardware team, collaborating with engineers on discrete and embedded products and learning to build applications for large-scale systems.

We are seeking students enrolled in UK universities in Electrical or Computer Engineering, with knowledge in logic design, Verilog/VHDL, and ASIC concepts. Training and mentorship are provided during the internship.

• Pursuing or holding a UK-based Engineering degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Knowledge of digital/analog design concepts and hardware verification.

JOB DETAILS:

• Location: Cambridge, UK
• Onsite: This role requires the student to work full time onsite throughout the duration of the intern term.
• Start date: July 1 to September 24 2027

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Do you want to help improve experiences of groundbreaking AMD products? If so, AMD Hardware team is the right place for you. We are seeking a highly motivated Hardware Engineering intern/co-op and in this role:

• You will collaborate with Engineers and be responsible for some of AMD's discrete and embedded hardware products
• We will train you to build applications for external and internal use as well as large scale systems that improve the efficiency of AMD Hardware organization

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:

You are currently enrolled in a UK based University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field

• If you have knowledge / experience with any of the following technical skills (or related areas)
  • Experience/Knowledge of Digital and/or analog Logic Design and Optimization
  • Scripting languages such as C/C++, TCL, Perl, Python, Java, Ruby
  • Computer architecture, CPU & GPUarchitecture.
  • Verilog, VHDL
  • ASIC design and verification.
  • Hardwareautomation,validationandtest
