Think FE Ltd, in partnership with a well-established specialist further education college in the Northamptonshire countryside, is recruiting a Success Coach to help young people overcome barriers and stay engaged with their studies.

You’ll work one-to-one and in groups to build motivation, set achievable goals and monitor progress, delivering personal development sessions on healthy relationships, safeguarding and employability.

Qualifications

  • GCSE Maths and English Language at Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent.
  • Experience of mentoring, coaching, student support or working with young people.
  • An understanding of student engagement and the barriers that can affect participation and achievement.
  • Awareness of safeguarding and the importance of maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • The ability to work effectively with students from a range of backgrounds, including SEND learners and those who may be at risk of disengagement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to build positive, professional relationships.
  • Experience within further education would be useful, but candidates from other education, youth, mentoring or support environments with transferable experience are also encouraged to apply.

  • Monitor student attendance and engagement, following up where additional intervention or support is required.
  • Help students overcome barriers to learning and support those at risk of disengagement from education.
  • Provide pastoral and wellbeing support, referring students to appropriate specialist services when necessary.
  • Support students with employability and career development alongside the wider careers team.
  • Work collaboratively with curriculum, wellbeing and support teams to improve student achievement and retention.

Success Coach

Location: Northamptonshire

Salary: £27,000 – £29,000 per annum FTE, pro rata to £23,000 – £25,000 per annum

Hours: 37 hours per week, 40 working weeks per year

Think FE are working with a well-established specialist further education college in the Northamptonshire countryside to recruit a Success Coach.

This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who enjoys working directly with young people and helping them overcome barriers, stay engaged with their studies and achieve their goals.

You’ll work closely with students on both a one-to-one and group basis, combining academic coaching with pastoral support and personal development. It would suit someone with experience in mentoring, coaching, student support, youth work or a similar environment who can build positive relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries.

As a Success Coach, you will:
