Job summary

Northampton College is seeking an Academic Coach to support Inclusion and Progression for students at Booth Lane, Northampton. The role emphasizes helping learners thrive through personal development tutorials and data-informed progression planning.

You will work within a diverse team, contributing to a positive, inclusive culture and supporting safeguarding commitments. The position is full-time, permanent, with 37 hours per week and a pro-rata salary range aligned with the grade.

Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic, motivated and committed to supporting young people
  • Ability to use a range of Information Technology/Information Communication Technology systems, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to engage groups of students through the delivery of personal development tutorials
  • Ability to analyse and interpret basic student related data, for example relating to patterns of absence/absence levels
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks through to completion within prescribed deadlines
  • English and maths GCSE grade C/4 or above/willingness to obtain, or equivalent skill level
  • Willingness and ability to undertake Level 3 Award in Education and Training
