GSL Education are looking for a friendly and reliable Substitute Teacher to join a primary school in Boscombe. This is an ideal opportunity for teachers who enjoy variety in their day-to-day work, as you’ll be stepping into different classrooms and covering a range of subjects and year groups.

Your role will be to maintain a positive learning environment and ensure that students stay on track when their regular teacher is unavailable. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-planned lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups in primary school settings.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment.
• Support students in their academic development, helping them engage with lessons and progress in their studies.
• Provide feedback to school staff regarding student progress, participation, and classroom behaviour.
• Adapt quickly to different classroom settings, maintaining a high standard of teaching throughout.

Requirements for the Role:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
• Previous experience supporting students with SEN would be highly valued.
• Prior experience in teaching or classroom management is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
• A flexible and proactive approach to working in diverse primary school environments.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection practices.
• University students with a passion for teaching and learning are encouraged to get involved.
• Provide an up-to-date CV covering the last 10 years, including an explanation for any gaps in employment.
• An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service, or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
