Salary: £120 - £150 Per day (Depending on experience)

About The Role:

As a Substitute Teacher, you will provide short-term and long-term cover for absent teachers, ensuring seamless lesson delivery across various subjects and year groups. You will play an essential role in maintaining consistency in education, fostering a positive learning environment and ensuring students continue to progress academically.

Responsibilities of Substitute Teacher:

• Deliver engaging and structured lessons in line with school curriculum guidelines.
• Quickly adapt to new classroom settings, building rapport with students and staff.
• Ensure a positive and well-managed classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation.
• Provide support to students, helping them stay on track with their learning.
• Follow school policies on safeguarding, assessment and behaviour management.
• Offer constructive feedback to students and liaise with school leadership when necessary.

The successful candidate will:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Prior experience working in UK classrooms across different subjects and key stages.
• Strong adaptability, resilience and organisational skills.
• Effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a focused learning environment.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
