Overview

Friendship Public Charter School operates a thriving network of college-preparatory public charter schools. Headquartered in Washington, DC, Friendship serves over 4,800 students in preschool to grade 12 and guides a growing network of alumni to college completion annually. Responsibilities
  • Available throughout the school year.

  • Hold high academic and behavioral expectations for all students.
  • Lead students to high levels of academic success in an urban school environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement effective curriculum units and lesson plans.
  • Design and deliver engaging instruction that addresses the needs of a full range of different student learning styles.
  • Reflect on teaching practices and make adjustments to maximize learning time.
  • Adhere to school management and discipline policies within the classroom and throughout the school campus.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and above preferred.
  • Commitment to teaching students from a minority and/or lower socioeconomic background required.
  • Urban teaching experience preferred.
