Job summary

Siemens Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking a Team Leader within the Project Management team of Grid Technologies, Substations. You will mentor a dedicated group delivering substation projects for clients across the UK and Ireland, coordinating with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

You will oversee the full lifecycle from planning to execution, drive governance, risk management and change control, and protect project margins through

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proven experience managing complex engineering projects in energy/substation sectors.
• Strong leadership with experience supervising professional staff and fostering team development.
• Familiarity with PMI project management methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project professionals, setting goals and conducting performance reviews.
• Oversee end-to-end execution of substation projects, ensuring scope, time, budget, and quality adherence.
• Implement and manage project governance with detailed scheduling, risk management, and change control processes.
• Serve as a key contact for clients and stakeholders, managing relationships and expectations.
• Manage project budgets, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Ensure project documentation is created, maintained, and archived per requirements.
