The role requires hands-on leadership of project professionals and active governance throughout the lifecycle. The successful candidate will combine strong engineering delivery with commercial awareness and stakeholder management, including NEC3/NEC4 contract

Qualifications

• Engineering background with delivery of complex projects.
• Experience in energy, power transmission or substations.
• Leadership of professional project teams with accountability.
• Strong governance, planning, risk and change control.
• Commercial awareness: budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project professionals.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery of substation projects to time, budget and quality.
• Implement robust project governance and change control.
• Escalate complex challenges and enable timely decisions.
• Manage client, supplier and subcontractor relationships for project success.
• Contribute to process improvement and team capability.
