Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking a Plant and Cable Maintenance Manager for the Tayside & Argyll region. You will oversee a team of managers, engineers and technicians, coordinating inspections, planned works and urgent repairs to ensure safe, reliable operation of transmission assets.

Role requires extensive asset maintenance experience, leadership ability, and a strong commitment to safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Extensive operation & maintenance experience of plant & cable assets, ideally ISO 55000.
Senior Authorised Person experience is advantageous but not essential.
Experience leading a team in an electrical maintenance environment.
Strong safety focus with knowledge of ISO 55000, ESQCR, CDM and Health & Safety rules.
Excellent written and verbal communication; proficient data management; MS Office skills.
Full valid driving licence; willingness to travel across the operational area.

Responsibilities

Supervise and support a maintenance team to ensure inspections, planned works and urgent repairs are completed safely and effectively.
Provide visible leadership and drive cost savings, quality and growth in the maintenance function.
Manage performance and budget forecasts with clear operational KPIs.
Oversee 24/7 network emergency responses and coordinate actions during major events.
Promote SSEN Transmission safety culture and contribute to policy/procedure improvements.
