Job summary

SSE plc is hiring a Plant and Cable Maintenance Manager for the SSEN Transmission network in the Tayside & Argyll region. You will oversee a team of managers, engineers, technicians and fitters to coordinate planned and reactive maintenance for safe, reliable asset operation.

Responsibilities include supervising a team to ensure inspections and repairs meet high standards, driving efficiency and cost savings, and maintaining strong safety culture across the network.

Qualifications

• Extensive operation and maintenance experience for plant and cable assets.
• Knowledge of ISO 55000 and related safety standards.
• Experience leading or managing a team in electrical maintenance environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance team to coordinate inspections, planned works and urgent repairs.
• Provide leadership aligned with the SSEN Leadership Blueprint and drive cost savings and quality improvements.
• Manage area budget and Expenditure reporting with clear KPI targets.
