Job summary

McLarens is seeking a talented Building Surveyor / Engineer (Chartered) to join our Subsidence Practice. You will undertake site visits, manage subsidence losses from notification to closure, and coordinate with claims technicians and colleagues to deliver professional outcomes.

Based around North/West London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire with occasional travel, the role offers home working and a clear path to career progression within a global loss adjusting network.

Qualifications

• Professionally qualified and Chartered, with loss adjusting and surveying experience.
• Extensive subsidence knowledge and ability to identify mitigation measures.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigating, negotiating and agreeing settlement of claims in a professional manner.
• Liaising with insured, insurers and brokers to achieve professional and timely conclusion of claims.
• Completing technical diagnosis and insurance policy application of losses.
• Arranging site investigations, monitoring, arborist reports and interpretation of results.
• Engaging appropriate specialists and overseeing fulfilment of the claim.
• Producing reports in compliance with professional standards and internal guidelines in accordance with agreed timescales.
