Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is recruiting a Sub Agent to take ownership of key work packages on a major National Grid substation project. You will work with the Project Manager and Site Agent to lead engineers, supervisors and supply chain partners to deliver civil, structural and electrical interface works on time and to quality.

We’re seeking a proactive construction professional with a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, SMSTS, CSCS, RAMS/ITPs experience and a track record on

Qualifications

• A Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or similar role within major infrastructure, utilities or energy projects.
• SMSTS certification and CSCS or EUSR CSCS management card.
• Temporary Works Supervisor competence and First Aid at Work qualification.
• Strong experience managing programmes, RAMS, ITPs, subcontractors and project change.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers, supervisors and supply chain partners to deliver civil, structural and electrical interface works to programme, budget and quality.
• Work alongside the Project Manager and Site Agent to take ownership of key work packages on a National Grid project.
• Ensure safety, quality and regulatory compliance across live site activities.
