Job summary

VolkerStevin, part of VolkerWessels UK, is seeking a proactive Sub Agent to lead civil, structural and electrical interface works on a National Grid substation project. You will guide engineers, supervisors and supply chain partners to meet programme, budget and quality targets.

Key requirements include a Civil Engineering degree or equivalent, SMSTS, CSCS, and extensive experience managing programmes, RAMS, and subcontractors in major infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• A Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Sub Agent, Senior Engineer or similar role within major infrastructure, utilities or energy projects.
• SMSTS certification.
• Relevant CSCS or EUSR CSCS management card.
• Temporary Works Supervisor competence.
• First Aid at Work qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong experience managing programmes, RAMS, ITPs, subcontractors and project change.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers, supervisors and supply chain partners to deliver complex civil, structural and electrical interface works to programme, budget and quality expectations.
• Work alongside the Project Manager and Site Agent to own key work packages on high-profile schemes.
• Ensure safety and compliance on site through RAMS and ITPs, with effective subcontractor management and change control.
