Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd in the West of England seeks a Sub Agent/Section Engineer to lead complex rail, highways and civils packages, coordinating planning, engineering and delivery.

You will drive safe, buildable solutions, manage interfaces, and mentor section engineers, with progression toward Agent level in a collaborative team.

Candidates should have PTS/CSCS, rail/highways/civils experience; degree in Civil Engineering preferred.

Qualifications

• Sub Agent or Section Engineer ready to step up; rail/highways civils background.
• PTS and CSCS essential.
• Experience with soil nailing, piling, shotcrete or RC works.
• Strong planning, forecasting and communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage section delivery with ready resources and sequencing.
• Lead short-term programmes and look-aheads, coordinating labour, plant and materials.
• Coordinate subcontractors for soil nailing, piling, shotcrete and RC works.
• Oversee engineering controls, QA, ITPs and temporary works integration.
• Collaborate with designers to resolve technical issues and ensure safe buildable solutions.
• Manage rail-related activities, ensuring PTS requirements and possession constraints.
• Provide leadership to Section Engineers and Site Engineers.
• Maintain strong safety standards and drive continuous improvement.
