Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer to join a major civil/infrastructure project in Bridgwater. You will report to the project manager and lead a section of works, ensuring quality, safety, and programme compliance on site.

Required are a Sub Agent/Senior Engineer/Section Engineer background in civil engineering, a CSCS card, and a full UK driving licence. Eligible to work in the UK is assumed. The role offers a challenging scope and exposure to complex engineering challenges.

Qualifications

• Experience as Sub Agent, Senior Engineer, or Section Engineer in civil engineering.
• CSCS card is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Managing site engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and to programme.
• Preparing, reviewing, and implementing RAMS prior to works commencing.
• Ensuring Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are completed, recorded, and maintained to industry standards.
• Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and company procedures, resolving any issues promptly.
• Generate Non-Conformance Records (NCRs) and ensure these are promptly closed out.
• Maintaining accurate records, including setting out, as-built information, and quality documentation.
• Producing and updating short-term and monthly programmes for your section of works.

Do you have experience working as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer, or Section Engineer on major civil or infrastructure projects? Are you looking for your next opportunity within civil engineering? If so, this could be the role for you. Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is seeking to appoint a Sub Agent to work on a major infrastructure project. This role offers a challenging scope of works, excellent exposure to complex engineering, and an opportunity to work on an exciting project. Reporting to the project manager, you will be responsible for managing a designated section of the works, including:

• Managing site engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and to programme.
