Job summary

Aldwych Consulting is recruiting a Site Agent to lead safety‑driven delivery on a heavy civils project in Bristol, coordinating multi‑discipline works across rail, highways and geotechnical packages. You will drive planning, resourcing and close interface management to keep teams moving to programme and quality standards.

The role requires a calm, structured leader with CSCS and PTS, and a civils engineering degree or HNC/HND.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Site Agent or a strong Sub Agent ready to step into full delivery ownership.
• Background in rail, highways or heavy civils, ideally with exposure to soil nailing, piling, shotcrete or RC works.
• PTS and CSCS essential.
• Strong understanding of temporary works; ideal if you've worked closely with a TWC or held AP responsibilities.
• Someone calm, structured and reliable, able to keep teams focused in challenging environments.
• HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Leading site delivery teams and ensuring works are executed safely, correctly and to programme.
• Managing daily planning, sequencing, resourcing and short‑term look‑aheads.
• Overseeing engineering controls, QA, ITPs, as‑built records and technical compliance.
• Coordinating subcontractors across soil nailing, piling, shotcrete and RC packages.
• Working closely with designers, temporary works teams, APs and TWC/TWS to resolve issues and maintain safe, buildable solutions.
• Managing rail‑related activities, including PTS requirements, access planning and possession constraints.
• Maintaining strong communication with planners, commercial teams and senior delivery leads.
• Promoting high safety standards and driving continuous improvement across the section.

A tier 1 contractor is seeking a Site Agent to take full responsibility for delivering complex, multi-disciplinary works across rail, highways and specialist civils environments. This role is suited to someone who thrives on leading teams, managing interfaces and keeping technically challenging sections moving with control, clarity and consistency. You'll be the central point of coordination on site, ensuring the works are safe, sequenced properly and delivered to the required standard.

The Role You'll drive the safe and efficient execution of works, ensuring planning, engineering, resources and subcontractors are aligned. The projects involve rail possessions, highways constraints, geotechnical stabilisation and structural concrete, requiring strong coordination and a steady, structured approach.
