Job summary

SCS Railways is recruiting a Sub Agent to lead a defined section of earthworks and structures works at West Ruislip, reporting to the Agent and coordinating site teams and subcontractors. You will manage safety, programme delivery and quality while driving performance across multidisciplinary interfaces.

Ideal candidates will have civil engineering qualifications and experience on major infrastructure projects, with NEC contract experience, strong planning skills and a proactive,

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Sub Agent or senior engineer experience on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multiple fronts.
• Solid understanding of NEC contracts and commercial principles.
• Strong planning and programme management skills.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management.
• Health & Safety awareness and environmental knowledge.
• Professional membership with ICE/CIOB advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe delivery of earthworks, drainage, landscaping, fencing and precast works.
• Manage a works section from planning through to completion against programme, cost and quality targets.
• Coordinate Site Engineers, Supervisors and subcontractors to hit milestones.
• Develop and maintain short-term programmes and monitor progress.
• Ensure resources are planned and managed effectively.
• Promote health, safety and environmental culture on site.
• Review RAMS, permits and construction documentation.
