Job summary

NEOS Engineering is recruiting a Sub Agent for the HS2 project in Aylesbury. You will lead an engineering team on a defined section, directing bulk earthworks, formation and related infrastructure to meet programme and quality targets.

You will work with Commercial, Planning and Engineering teams to optimise resources, manage risks and ensure safe, compliant delivery. ICE accreditation progression is desirable and prior major project experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in civil engineering, construction or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong background in earthworks and bulk earthworks.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of health, safety and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and mentor the engineering team with clear direction.
• Oversee bulk earthworks and formation works delivery across your section.
• Develop and manage mass-haul and seasonal work plans.
• Support forecasting, resource allocation and programme planning.
• Lead constructability reviews and construction sequencing strategies.
• Support temporary works planning and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with Commercial and Planning to monitor costs and productivity.
• Ensure delivery aligns with safety and quality standards.
• Identify and resolve technical issues to maintain progress.
• Provide developmental opportunities to junior engineers.
• Promote continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
