Jackson Civil Engineering Ltd is recruiting a Sub Agent to support the Southern Region around Hampshire, Berkshire and Surrey. The role focuses on supervising small river and highway projects, reporting to the Site Agent or Project Manager.
You will manage site staff and subcontractors, prepare method statements and risk assessments, monitor budgets and programmes, and ensure safe, timely project delivery. NEC contracts and SMSTS are essential, with a UK driving licence.

Due to continued success, we are now recruiting for a Sub Agent to work in our Southern Region around the Hampshire/Berkshire/Surrey area. We are seeking a candidate with good technical ability who can also manage small projects in this part of the region, predominantly medium sized river engineering schemes and possibly highway schemes.
Are you the Sub Agent we are looking for?
We are looking for someone with a positive, proactive attitude who is ambitious, flexible and enjoys working as part of a team.
The successful candidate will have experience working for a main contractor on civil engineering projects, with a strong background in highways and river works.
You will be an effective communicator with the ability to manage and motivate site teams, delegate responsibilities appropriately and organise both your own workload and that of others to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently.
Experience working under NEC forms of contract is essential, along with a relevant industry qualification and a valid SMSTS (or equivalent) qualification.
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be willing to travel throughout our Southern Region and hold a full UK driving licence. A First Aid at Work qualification would be advantageous.
