Jackson Civil Engineering Ltd is seeking a capable Site Manager to support the Site Agent or Project Manager in delivering civil engineering projects, including highways and river works, across the Southern Region. You will coordinate site teams, sub-contractors, and design coordination to ensure safe, timely, and profitable project completion.

Essential: NEC contract experience, SMSTS (or equivalent), and a relevant industry qualification.

• Preparing and monitoring programmes of work.
• Assessment and engagement of sub-contractors.

• Manage contracts to ensure timely and profitable completion of contracts.
• Inform, consult, and involve local groups as necessary.
• Foster good relations and reputation with clients.
  We are looking for someone with a positive, proactive attitude who is ambitious, flexible and enjoys working as part of a team.

The successful candidate will have experience working for a main contractor on civil engineering projects, with a strong background in highways and river works. You will be an effective communicator with the ability to manage and motivate site teams, delegate responsibilities appropriately and organise both your own workload and that of others to ensure projects are delivered safely and efficiently. Experience working under NEC forms of contract is essential, along with a relevant industry qualification and a valid SMSTS (or equivalent) qualification. Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate must be willing to travel throughout our Southern Region and hold a full UK driving licence. A First Aid at Work qualification would be advantageous.
