Job summary

City College Peterborough is seeking a motivated Teaching & Service Assistant to join our Study Skills programme, supporting learners aged 16–24, including those with SEND. The role includes one-to-one and small group support, adapting resources and maintaining records using ProMonitor.

This fixed term maternity cover runs from 1st September 2026 to 31st March 2027, with 35 hours per week during term time and a pro rata salary of NJC Scale 5: £24,790 – £25,584.

Qualifications

• Support learners on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
• Assist Tutors in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Develop and adapt learning resources to meet individual needs.

Responsibilities

• Support learners one-to-one and in small groups.
• Help learners overcome barriers to learning and achieve goals.
• Assist Tutors in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
