Job summary

Hugh Baird College in Bootle invites applications for a Study Programme Coordinator to support learners throughout their college journey. You will link curriculum, Personal Development, English and Maths, careers and support services, providing pastoral coaching and coordinating work experience.

You will work with learners and families to improve attendance and engagement, helping them progress to further study, employment or apprenticeships.

Qualifications

• Cert Ed qualification or equivalent.
• Experience delivering high-quality pastoral support to learners.
• Experience developing effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including employers and support agencies.
• Ability to deliver engaging Personal Development and learner support activities.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with learners, colleagues, families and employers.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform interventions and support learner success.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pastoral support to learners.
• Coordinate meaningful work experience opportunities.
• Support learners to overcome barriers, improve attendance and engagement, and achieve their full potential.
• Help learners progress to further study, employment, apprenticeships or other positive destinations.
• Work with learners, families, employers and curriculum teams to support learner success.
• Deliver engaging Personal Development activities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure holistic learner support.
