Job summary

Hugh Baird College invites applications for a Study Programme Coordinator to support students throughout their college journey. You will link curriculum, Personal Development, English & Maths, careers and support services to help learners progress to further study, employment, apprenticeships or other positive destinations.

The role requires delivering engaging Personal Development for learners, coordinating work experience, and building strong relationships with learners, families and employers

Qualifications

• Cert Ed qualification or equivalent.
• Experience of providing high-quality pastoral support to learners.
• Experience of developing effective partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, including employers and support agencies.
• Ability to deliver engaging Personal Development and learner support activities.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with learners, colleagues and employers.
• Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform interventions and support learner success.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pastoral coaching to learners.
• Coordinate meaningful work experience opportunities.
• Support learners to overcome barriers, improve attendance and engagement.
• Act as the link between curriculum, Personal Development, English & Maths, careers and wider support services.
