Job summary

BIMM University is seeking a Student Support Advisor to provide frontline pastoral and wellbeing support for students, guiding them through personal and practical challenges within a digital-first service. You’ll manage a varied caseload, conducting assessments and triage, delivering one-to-one sessions online and in person.

You will maintain confidential records using TargetConnect, respond to student inquiries, and refer to internal or external services as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering pastoral and wellbeing support to students.
• Ability to manage a caseload with empathy and discretion.
• Proficient in maintaining confidential records and using digital case-management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide frontline pastoral and wellbeing support to students.
• Manage a varied caseload with structured assessment and triage.
• Conduct one-to-one support sessions online and in person.
• Maintain accurate confidential case records in digital systems (TargetConnect).
• Respond to student enquiries and contribute to drop-in sessions.
• Refer students to internal or external services as needed.
• Escalate safeguarding concerns per policy and procedures.
• Collaborate with academic teams and external partners to support student outcomes.
• Contribute to wellbeing workshops and inclusion initiatives.
