Job summary

Peterborough First group is seeking a Learner Wellbeing Officer to support learners academically and personally, ensuring they feel safe, valued and empowered throughout their college journey.

You will work as part of a busy wellbeing team to help learners overcome barriers to learning, support attendance and engagement, and collaborate with staff, parents, carers and external agencies to secure the best outcomes for learners.

Responsibilities

• Supporting learners with their wellbeing and personal development.
• Responding to safeguarding concerns and contributing to safeguarding processes.
• Providing day-to-day emotional support and guidance to learners.
• Helping learners overcome challenges that may impact their attendance, engagement and achievement.
• Building positive relationships with learners, parents, carers and external agencies.
• Working collaboratively with curriculum teams and support services to deliver the best outcomes for learners.
• Promoting a safe, inclusive and learner-centred environment.
