Job summary
A higher education provider is seeking a Student Well-Being Officer to provide crucial support to students in their learning and well-being across multiple campuses, including Manchester. The role involves managing student referrals, offering pastoral care, and ensuring that students receive necessary accommodations. Applicants should have a relevant bachelor's degree and experience in a similar role in education. The position is part-time (30 hours per week) with a salary range of £24,000 to £27,000 pro-rata.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, preferably health related.
Prior experience in an adjacent or similar role, preferably within higher education.
Ability to discuss students’ needs in a sensitive manner.
Responsibilities
Managing student referrals in partnership with the Student Well-Being Manager.
Providing pastoral support to students with social or emotional issues.
Maintaining accurate student Well-Being records and information.
Skills
Pastoral support
Knowledge of DDA and SENDA guidelines
Experience with learning difficulties
