Job summary

Weston College Group in Weston-super-Mare is hiring a part-time Welfare and Wellbeing Officer to provide welfare and mental health support to learners. The role is 14.8 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks per year), with on-site interviews at a campus in Weston-super-Mare.

You will work with curriculum teams to identify learners at risk of leaving, implement action plans to support attendance and progression, and advise staff on welfare issues. The college values inclusion and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide welfare and mental health support to learners.
• Identify learners at risk and implement action plans to improve attendance and progression.
• Advise and support staff across the college on welfare and mental health issues.
• Maintain links with external agencies and refer appropriately.
• Attend external meetings, training and events on behalf of Weston College.
