Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting a Student Wellbeing Mentor for a secondary school in Cwmbran, South Wales. You’ll provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils aged 11-16 with ALN and behavioural needs to help them stay engaged and build confidence.

Hours are 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a full academic year contract. Enhanced DBS, EWC registration and safeguarding training are required; we provide support to obtain these during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils aged 11-16 with ALN/behavioural needs.
• Ability to build engagement and confidence.
• Experience with 1:1 or small-group support.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils 11-16.
• Help pupils stay engaged and overcome barriers to learning.
• Collaborate with teachers and support staff.
