Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Newport is recruiting a Student Engagement Mentor to support students in partner secondary schools. The role runs 8:30am – 3:30pm and involves 1:1 and small group support, safeguarding duties, and wellbeing tasks.

Applicants should have Enhanced DBS on Update Service, Level 2 safeguarding training, and two references covering 24 months. This position offers onboarding support and the chance to contribute to student welfare.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
• Level 2 safeguarding training provided during onboarding

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small group support in and out of the classroom
• Follow safeguarding, medication, documentation, or care-plan requirements where they apply
• Support people with care, daily routines, clinical tasks, or wellbeing according to the role remit
