Job summary

Chelmsford College is seeking an enthusiastic Learner Engagement Officer to support learner wellbeing, engagement, attendance and success across campus. You will work closely with curriculum staff, safeguarding colleagues, families and external agencies to identify barriers to learning and ensure learners receive the right support at the right time.

You will build strong relationships with learners, provide one-to-one support and contribute to early intervention activities, coordinating support

Qualifications

• Experience of supporting young people.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Strong understanding of challenges learners may face: mental health, financial hardship, safeguarding and barriers to participation.

Responsibilities

• Support learner wellbeing, engagement, attendance and success.
• Identify and address barriers to learning by working with curriculum staff, safeguarding colleagues, families and external agencies.
• Be a visible, approachable presence across campus, building positive relationships with learners and providing one-to-one support.
• Contribute to early intervention activity and coordinate support for vulnerable and care-experienced learners.
