New Road Academy in Telford is seeking an experienced Pastoral Manager to support students requiring additional help to engage with learning. You will promote excellent behaviour, attendance, wellbeing and personal development within a safe, inclusive environment.

You will work with pupils, families and staff, delivering targeted pastoral support, mentoring, and restorative approaches to re-engage learners.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral support within a secondary setting.
• Strong communication with students, parents and staff.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted pastoral support to students.
• Mentor students individually and in small groups.
• Contribute to behaviour systems and sanctions.
• Support anti-bullying initiatives.
