Job summary

Outwood Grange Academies Trust in Middlesbrough is seeking a Learning Manager to champion student welfare, intervene strategically, and monitor progress with MIS data. The role involves liaising with external agencies and coordinating safeguarding and attendance processes to help vulnerable students thrive.

You will support staff, manage cases under pressure, and contribute to a positive school culture that prioritises every learner’s potential.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in a school environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
• Proficiency in standard ICT packages, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Strategically monitors all students in the year group using MIS data to identify concerns and implement interventions.
• Act as first point of contact for behaviour incidents and support the Consequences process, including parent contact regarding exclusions.
• Chair Children in Need and Team Around the Child meetings; coordinate referrals and liaise with schools and welfare agencies.
