Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an Additional Support Needs Assistant (Temporary) to support young people with additional support needs across Renfrewshire schools and establishments. You will be deployed by school leadership and work with designated class teachers to support pupils in Pre-5 to Secondary years.

Experience with and/or caring for children, plus literacy, numeracy and ICT skills, is essential. The post is temporary for 12 months or until funding ends.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with and/or caring for Pre 5, Primary or Secondary age children.
• Demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience of ICT equipment and associated software packages.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with Additional Support Needs across Renfrewshire schools.
• Work under the direction of and in partnership with nominated class teachers.
• Assist with ICT equipment and software in classrooms.
