Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking a Key Worker (Pupil Equity Fund) for a temporary 5-month position to support learners at risk and their families. The role requires GIRFEC knowledge, SVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and experience working with vulnerable young people in an educational setting.

You will work as part of the Pupil Support Team, using effective communication, ICT, assessment and recording skills, with the ability to work both in a team and independently, showing enthusiasm and flexibility.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Experience working with young people in educational settings providing support to vulnerable young people and their families.
• Understanding of issues facing pupils with additional support needs.
• Getting it Right for Every Child (GIRFEC) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to learners as part of the Pupil Support Team.
• Support young people who require targeted assistance and liaise with families as needed.
• Maintain clear communication and accurate recording of progress and assessments.
