Job summary

Renfrewshire Council is seeking an Additional Support Needs Assistant (Temporary) to support young people with additional needs across Renfrewshire schools and establishments. The role requires caring for Pre-5 to Secondary-aged children and literacy, numeracy, and ICT competencies, working under guidance from senior staff.

The post is temporary, funded for 12 months or until needs change, with Disclosure Scotland checks as required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with and/or caring for Pre-5, Primary or Secondary age children.
• Demonstrable literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience of ICT equipment and associated software packages.

Responsibilities

• Support young people within schools and other establishments across Renfrewshire.
• Work under the direction of the head teacher/head of establishment and in partnership with nominated class teachers.
