The ideal candidate will have experience with children or young people, strong communication skills, empathy, and resilience, with safeguarding at the forefront. Term-time and ASAP start with potential for ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in a school or related setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, empathetic and resilient mindset.
• Ability to build trust with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare of children.
• Willingness to obtain an enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students who require additional guidance.
• Build relationships to encourage engagement, confidence, and achievement.
• Support students with social, emotional, and behavioural needs in and out of the classroom.
• Assist with behaviour management and support plans.
• Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and parents to support progress.
• Promote positive attitudes towards learning, attendance, and personal development.
• Monitor wellbeing and report safeguarding concerns.
