Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a proactive Student Support & Services Coordinator for a secondary school in the Kettering area. You will support students’ wellbeing, liaise with families and external agencies, and work closely with staff to enhance learning and personal development.

The role is full-time, term-time only, with a focus on safeguarding, attendance, and practical student welfare initiatives. Experience in education or youth work is ideal, with DBS Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in an educational, pastoral, youth work, or support capacity.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• A calm, professional and empathetic approach.
• Ability to manage challenging situations positively and effectively.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for students requiring pastoral and wellbeing support.
• Monitor attendance, behaviour and engagement, identify concerns and implement support strategies.
• Liaise with parents, carers and external agencies to coordinate student support.
• Support safeguarding and student welfare procedures.
• Help students develop positive behaviours, resilience and confidence.
• Collaborate with teaching and pastoral staff to improve learner outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to student support plans.

Student Support & Services Coordinator - Kettering

Tradewind Recruitment are working with a supportive secondary school in the Kettering area seeking a proactive and compassionate Student Support & Services Coordinator to join their pastoral team. This rewarding role is ideal for candidates with experience in education, youth work, pastoral support, or student welfare who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.

The successful candidate will work closely with students, families, teaching staff, and external agencies to ensure pupils receive the support they need to thrive both academically and personally.
