South Ayrshire Council in Troon is recruiting a Classroom Support Assistant to relieve teachers of non-teaching duties and help prepare teaching materials. You will support learning activities under the direction of the classroom teacher and other colleagues.

You will assist pupils, including those with additional support needs, and you must be willing to join the PVG Scheme prior to appointment. Interviews are scheduled for 14/09/2026 and the grade is Level 4.

Qualifications

• PVG Scheme required or update prior to offer.

• Relieve teachers of non-teaching duties such as classroom administration and materials preparation.
• Support learning activities under the direction of teachers and colleagues.
• Support pupils including those with additional support needs and challenging behaviour.
