South Ayrshire Council's Belmont Academy is seeking a School Assistant (Term-Time) to relieve teachers of non-teaching duties and to support learning activities under the direction of the classroom teacher and other colleagues.

The role involves assisting pupils, including those with additional support needs, and helping with practical tasks such as preparing teaching materials. A PVG membership is required before a formal offer.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Relieve teachers of non-teaching duties including classroom administration and practical tasks such as preparing teaching materials.
• Support the learning activities of children under the direction of the classroom teacher and other colleagues.
• Support pupils with additional support needs including those with physical difficulties and challenging behaviour.
