Job summary

Walsall College is seeking a Student Success Officer to guide students through their college journey, supporting attendance, personal growth, and goal setting.

You will run one-to-one sessions and deliver group workshops, helping students develop skills and confidence for college and life beyond. This role is term-time only with two extra weeks, offering a rewarding, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent people skills, empathy, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting young people.
• Experience of working with young people to motivate and guide them is essential, and knowledge of safeguarding and the post-16 education system is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of students and work one-to-one to identify barriers to success and set meaningful goals.
• Improve attendance and support personal growth through targeted guidance and monitoring.
• Deliver group workshops to equip students with resilience and planning for their future.
