Job summary

Nelson and Colne College is seeking a friendly receptionist for Student Services. You will be the first point of contact for visitors, answer calls professionally and support students and staff across campus.

The role is part-time maternity cover, primarily based at Nelson and Colne College, with occasional travel to other sites. You will use your customer care and clear communication to help keep campus operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent including Maths and English at Grade 4 / C or above.
• IT qualification such as ECDL or experience with Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for visitors and represent the College with excellent customer care and front of house services for customers, learners, staff and contractors.
• Answer and respond to telephone calls in a timely and professional manner, taking messages and referring callers and visitors to the correct person.
• Ensure college postal service runs efficiently; liaise with the sorting office for college community communications and ensure parcels are received per policy.
