Job summary

University of St Andrews is seeking a proactive Student Records Coordinator to join the Academic Registry. You will help coordinate student records, ensuring accurate, compliant and accessible data across the university, while delivering training and support to colleagues throughout the academic cycle.

You will contribute to external data reporting and the rollout of new data models, maintaining high standards of service and data quality.

Job description

An exciting opportunity is now available to join the University of St Andrews, working within the Academic Registry as the Student Records Coordinator.

The role contributes to the coordination and management of the following; providing advice and expertise to colleagues across the University and Registry, who are involved in managing student records, setting the framework for an accurate, compliant and accessible student records system, and providing training, documentation and support to colleagues across the academic cycle. The role-holder will also be instrumental in assisting the Student Records Officer with external and statutory data provision, reporting to external bodies and assisting with the delivery of new data models.

We are seeking an experienced, professional, highly-motivated and organised colleague, with a commitment to excellent customer service and strong data management skills to contribute to the successful management of the student records function. You will be comfortable managing complex student records and associated data to ensure that all student-related data is of the highest quality. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be a real team player and motivator and be enthusiastic about the Unit’s desire to enhance our service to all stakeholders.

Registry is a key central administrative Unit of the University supporting Schools, students, senior management and external stakeholders through admissions, the administration of student records, the co-ordination of international partnerships and study abroad, curriculum management, and the provision of associated reporting. Members of staff work flexibly and provide support across the Unit according to the priorities of the academic cycle. The Unit actively supports the University’s strategy of improving the effectiveness and integration of administrative processes and services with various projects and cross-unit functions.
