Job summary

Inspire Education Group connects Stamford College, Peterborough College, and University Centre Peterborough to create amazing learning experiences. Our MIS team seeks a Student Records Administrator to guard student data, keep records accurate, and support enrolments during peak periods.

You will work in a friendly, busy office, providing top-notch customer service, and collaborating with Student Services to ensure compliance with funding rules and data protection requirements.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Level 2 with GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Experience in administration or a data-focused role in a busy office.
  • Speedy and accurate data entry, methodical problem-solving, discretion.
  • Excellent communication, flexible to changing tasks, customer care.

Responsibilities

  • Inputting and updating vital student information, including enrolments and achievements.
  • Handling service desk requests, emails, and phone calls promptly to support teams.
  • Validating data fields to ensure records comply with funding rules and regulations.
  • Collaborating with Student Services during peak enrolment periods.
  • Participating in team meetings and supporting colleagues to maintain team harmony.

Our Management Information Services (MIS) department is on the lookout for a positive, practical, and proactive Student Records Administrator to join our close-knit team.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our responsive MIS team, you will be the guardian of our student data, ensuring everything is accurate, up-to-date, and running smoothly. Your main days will involve:

  • Data Brilliance: Inputting and updating vital student information, including enrolments, withdrawals, transfers, and achievements.
  • Problem Solving: Handling service desk requests, emails, and phone calls promptly to support our curriculum and support teams.
  • Quality Checking: Systematically validating data fields to make sure our records comply with funding rules and regulations.
  • Enrolment Magic: Team up with our Student Services teams during exciting, high-demand peak periods like student enrolment.
  • Collaborating: Actively participating in team meetings, supporting colleagues, and sharing workloads to keep the team spirit high.
What We Are Looking For

The Essentials:
  • Education & IT: Educated to Level 2 (or equivalent) with solid GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Experience: A background working in administration or a data-focused role, ideally within a busy office environment.
  • Skills: Speedy and accurate data entry skills, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to handle confidential info with total discretion.
  • People Skills: Excellent communication skills, a flexible approach to changing tasks at short notice, and a true love for customer care.
