Job summary

Doncaster College is seeking an organised Administrator to join the Student Information Services team, supporting the student journey from enrolment through to achievement. The role involves managing student records, data accuracy, and delivering a high-quality service across enrolment, examinations, timetabling and records administration.

You will work with curriculum teams, colleagues and students, ensuring compliant data, efficient processes and excellent customer service in a busy education

Qualifications

  • Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) with GCSE English and Maths at C/4+.
  • Recent experience in student data-related administration.
  • Strong IT skills with Microsoft Office and databases experience.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain student records accurately throughout enrolment to achievement.
  • Support enrolment processes for FE, HE, apprenticeships and adult learners.
  • Assist examinations administration including registrations, entries, results processing and certification.
  • Support curriculum planning, course set-up, timetabling and register management.
  • Provide high-quality admin and customer service to students, staff and external stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain data for reporting, audits and external returns.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and data quality.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection policies and procedures.

Job description

Are you an organised and customer-focused administrator with excellent attention to detail? We are looking for an Administrator within our Student Information Services (SIS) team to play a vital role in supporting the student journey from enrolment through to achievement.

Working closely with curriculum teams, colleagues and students, you will undertake a wide range of student data and administrative activities, ensuring information is accurate, compliant and maintained to the highest standards. You will contribute to delivering an efficient, professional and customer-focused service across enrolment, examinations, timetabling and student records administration. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with data, systems and people, and who is committed to providing outstanding administrative support within a busy education environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update student records accurately throughout the student lifecycle, from enrolment to achievement.
  • Support enrolment processes for further education, higher education, apprenticeships and adult learners.
  • Assist with examinations administration, including registrations, entries, results processing and certification activities.
  • Support curriculum planning, course set-up, timetabling activities and register management.
  • Provide high-quality administrative support and customer service to students, curriculum staff and external stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain accurate data to support reporting requirements, audits and external returns.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve processes, data quality and service efficiency.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with data protection requirements, policies and procedures.
Essential Criteria
  • Level 2 qualification in a relevant discipline (or equivalent relevant experience), with GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Recent experience in a student data-related, administrative or transferable support role.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications and experience of working with databases or computerised systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
